Today it is known as Tallahassee, Florida.  Tonight we will be giving our slide show and lecture in the Books-A-Million at 3521 E. Thomasville Road.  We&#8217;re on deck at 6:30 and hope to see some of our fans there.  Last night&#8217;s lecture in Gainesville was delightful and fun, even if it was mostly store staff who enjoyed it. <\/p>\n<p>Our bad guy, de Soto, and his army spent the winter in Anhaica after driving the Apalachee out.  Not that the Kristianos got to relax.  The Apalachee conducted a very effective guerilla campaign against de Soto&#8217;s troops. <\/p>\n<p>How do we know that Anhaica and Tallahassee are the same?  This was documented at the Governor Martin site in downtown Tallahassee where bits of Spanish armor, beads, pottery, and other artifacts were recovered. <\/p>\n<p>On our book tour we&#8217;ve followed de Soto&#8217;s route up from Tampa Bay and ended up where COMING OF THE STORM concludes.
